Dream Bedroom
Here's some inspiration for my bedroom. The board was inspired by a vintage pastel mexican blanket I just bought on Melrose for $8 that I'm going to use as a rug. I think I eventually want to move my flokati rug into the bedroom, and replace it with a cowhide in the living room. I have a blonde mid-century Lane cedar chest in my bedroom that I keep a lot of my clothes in, and I want to keep it forever. I love mid-century furniture, so matching dressers would tie the chest in perfectly.

Here's the rug I just bought:

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I can't believe it's time to take down the tree, and pack up the ornaments. I got a little crazy on tumblr, getting into the holiday mood!

July!
I love that I grew up in the west, but I went back to find my roots in college in the mid-west. Neither seems more american to me than the other. I love the grass roots feel to the midwest, with farms, classic tradition and good people; but what's more american than going west and forging a new life - where you're free to create your new life and identity? My road trip west made me realize how beautiful America's landscape really is. We have everything; mountains, desert, plains, canyons, and gorgeous coast lines! I am so proud to be an American, where I am free.
Thank you to all the soldiers who support us,
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
also my dad just sent me this video to give me a better idea of what he is flying nowadays and doing, pretty cool
