I want to do this, and I want more plants in my house! Marina suggested putting star stickers on the jars first and then painting, so when you remove the stickers: viola! star jar. Which is brilliant! I also read, if you use a semi-transparent paint and it's all too clear, just spray the inside with an opaque white!
