SEVENTEEN

THEY ONLY want you when you're seventeen
When you're 21, you're no fun
They take a POLAROID and let you go
Say they'll let you know, so c'mon
2 months after my 18th birthday ^^^^^^^^^

I was listening to anthems for a 17-year old girl by Broken Social Scene at Kathleen's by DJ Jenna today. I think that was my myspace song for months when I was younger. I think I got a myspace when I was 16 or 17. I mean, I was a senior in hs when I was 17 and a freshman in college. I realized there's lots of songs about being 17. Like the BSS one, and Ladytron - Seventeen. I can't kick the notion, everything was better when I was 17. I don't want to turn 22 this year. I want to stay 21 forever. Forever 21. I dont want to grow up. I'm graduating in a few weeks. I'll have a college degree. Life is what you make it right?

Used to be one of the rotten ones and I liked you for that
Used to be one of the rotten ones and I liked you for that
Used to be one of the rotten ones and I liked you for that
Now you're all gone got your make-up on and you're not coming back
Can't you come back?
Now you're all gone got your make-up on and you're not coming back
Bleaching your teeth, smiling flash, talking trash, under your breath
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me
Park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me

funny, this is the 17th post for the month of april. all time high.

I was 17 when "Anthems for a 17 year Old Girl" was one of my favorite songs and I had just met Torey and I wanted to use that song as representation for everything. haha. And I remember listening to that Ladytron song when I was like 15 and wondering if 17 would really be that important, and thinking back, I think age 17 was the funnest of my life.

Now I'm sad.
Life IS what you make it, but it's hard to compete with the awesomeness of age 17.
